Day 3 - Wednesday 29th June 2011

Feeling great today!! Very positive mindset today :)

Didnt go to sleep until 11.30 as I was still buzzing from my Zumba class. Still feeling a bit tired in the morning.

Had a hemp powder protein shake with Maca powder for breakfast as i was teaching at 9.15am. Popped into town to get some supplies (nettle tea).

I came home and made a huge salad with rocket, radishes, cucumber with basil dressing (basil, pine nuts , olive oil, garlic, lemon juice whizzed up). fried courgettes in coconut oil and smoked mackerel (can i have smoked mackerel? I need to find out)

Huge mug of herbal tea.

I plan to work for an hour then do my tabata style workout in the garden (vitamin D). Off to see the chiropractor about my ongoing back problem. I'm feeling my deep lower abs today after a great one to one session with my pilates instructor on the reformer.

I have planned my meals for the week and my very lovely husband is out shopping as i type.

Day 2 continued

ok i have to 'fess up here!! yesterday afternoon was a disaster!! I was struck by huge sugar cravings and i hit the 'sod it' button. So i hang my head in shame and admit to eating chocolate and cake!!!! To be honest I was so tired i think my body was craving energy. Sugar is my downfall but i have been managing really well lately with no cravings at all.I have to say that i felt rubbish afterwards.

I have 2 choices, i can beat myself up and feel like a complete failure or I can learn from it.

So i choose to learn from it!!

Yesterday morning i didnt eat enough and was hungry. If i do this it usually means i'll 'crave' in the afternoon. I didn't have enough fresh foods in to make an interesting meal so i picked all day and didn't feel satisfied (which i had said in the previous blog and had not picked up on the warning signs - Hello??). I also didnt drink enough water yesterday.

I am glad to say that i am feeling much more positive today. I revisited my 'why's' and goals on why i am following this programme. Having goals and writing them down is one of the most powerful tools that i have recently learnt. I try and write down my goals daily to keep re affirming them. I also use visualisations. Morning and night i take a  minute or two to visualise my goal. I really use all my senses to get the feeling of how it will feel when i have reached my goal. This really fires me up and keeps me focused.

I have recently lost 6 lbs and feel great but i want to lose another 5 to feel amazing! I want to get to the weight I was 2 years ago. I don't strive to be skinny, my ideal body shape is fairly muscular and athletic. As a fitness instructor and coach i feel i have to have an excellent level of fitness and to look fit!! I walk the walk when it comes to my nutrition and fitness so i can empathise with my clients. When i am at my 'fighting weight' (9.13) my clothese feel more comfortable and I feel more confident. When i feel more confident I act more confident which has a positive influence on those around me. WHen those around me are happy, I feel happy

I'm feeling much more positive today :)

Day 2

Went to bed last night at 9.30pm as i was soooo tired. I think it is the humidity. I was asleep by 10pm and awake at 7am still feeling very tired!

I had a cup of redbush tea with coconut milk (hmmm now not sure if coconut milk is allowed on the ED)
i had a few vegetable sticks and a few raspberries from my mums allotment. I then went off to teach a class. Drinking a lot of water. Had a handful of soaked nuts and some fruit before going to a pilates class.
Had some homemade chinese style soup which was filling. I still feel as though I'm missing something and want something else to eat?? Had some more fruit and nuts and herbal tea.

I am teaching 2 classes later so i'll need to eat well this afternoon, probably salad and protein. I need to find out if i can use my hemp protein powder and maca powder.

I did the meltdown workout out this morning in the garden after my class. Tabata style training using squats and rows. The mobility matrix 2 was good, not as good as one as one is more thorough.

Energy levels are pretty rubbish today but that is to be expected in the first few days, even though i dont eat alot of the banned foods already.

Looking forward to seeing what day 3's exercises are
